The Torah is the most precious thing we own as a people. And when a new Torah scroll is dedicated to a synagogue, it is one of the most joyous events a Jewish community can experience. 

Ita’s Unity Torah will be dedicated in memory of one beautiful, beloved baby girl who touched so many hearts for all-too-brief a moment in time. And coming together as one people for the sake of this Torah is one of the most meaningful ways we can honor Ita’s memory, and transform our loss into a meaningful, bright light.
 

How It Works

It takes many long months of concentration dedication for a scribe to hand write each letter with great reverence in the scroll, putting a handmade quill and ink on parchment. When the Torah scroll is nearing completion, a huge celebration will take place - one that involves the entire community, a festive meal and dancing in the streets, as we accompany the Torah into the synagogue.

When you buy a letter, word or verse in Ita’s Unity Torah, you are purchasing "real estate" in a Torah scroll. And that portion becomes yours forever. Whether you endow a letter for your children, family members or friends, it’s as if you have written your own Torah scroll and have fulfilled this great Mitzvah.
